I think it would be a very sad movie to watch. I lived next door to a man who had been sent over here (Aus.) during the 50's. He had a dreadful childhood before and after being sent over here. It left him with emotional issues and even though he had a loving wife and two wonderful children he was damaged by all he went through. Sadly he passed away a couple of years ago aged only 62.

I think i`d like to see it Gwyn....

I go to the cinema fairly regularly if i can...{ Really like seeing films on the big Screen} don`t think they quite make the same impact watching them at home.


Read a write up about it in the paper yesterday....the critic wasn`t too impressed, said its more like a documentary than a film....but i always like things based on true stories so think I will enjoy it.

Daughter gave me an I.O.U. a trip to see this, in with her Mothering Sunday card.
We hope it may be shown more locally , otherwise we will go to Canterbury to see it.

Anyone else seen it or going?

Saw the trailer for this on GR's Facebook page. I want to see this but can not find when it will be showing in my area.

Jim Loach the director was on Breakfast tv bbc1 this morning talking about the film..

It sounds a ggod film so willl be going to see this when it comes to the independant cinema near me.(OAP Rate)
