Yes Scozzie, Sainsbury's do have Vegemite....but give me Marmite any time....far superior to vegemite....yuk!!! :-D

Talking of cubes, I like a little bit of Oxo cube sprinkled on my cheese on toast just before I put it under the grill to melt it...you'd be surprised, it's actually really yummy!

Vegemite in Australia - very similar to Marmite. Heard a story that some bright spark suggested the name be Pawill.

I like a scrape (a teeny one) on crackers with cheese..... but OH has it so thick you can see teeth marks. ewwwwwww Looks like sump oil.

I like Vegemite on toast with a poached egg. Scrummy.

And........ yes, we are two of the Aussies who travel overseas with a supply of Vegemite (I think it's available in Sainsbury's in UK?)

No you are right I don't think it does either............but It can go funny when those who should know better leave the scrapings off the butter knife in there

YUK!!

Add ..... The birds are doing very well with the mouldy bread. Have put todays in the fridge but then I find it is only really good for toasting after refridgeration or freezing :-(

I have never ever known Marmite to go off...either I haven't kept it long enough (very likely) or it just doesn't go off.

Unlike bread, which is going mouldy very quickly this week. grrr :-S

I like smooth peanut butter with raspberry jam in a sandwich.

I had a recipe for a peanut butter soup once, and thought hmm that might be nice.

It was gross!
