Ode to a toenail

When I look down upon my feet
I see ten toes all nice and neat
Sad for one this is just not true
Loathe she is to remove her shoe
Nine nails fine - each rosy pink
One nail though sadly on the blink
What a trauma, what a state
Call 999 and do not wait
Get the needle, get the tools
Sign this form (you know the rules)
Out damn nail and bin it quick
Give the patient a walking stick
Relief at last to all on here
No more damn nail which we all fear
No more complaining every day
No more sympathies do we pay
With a hop and skip Ann makes her way
And live to moan another day

AnnC, it maybe a good idea............if you have any more toenails that are rotting away to have them all surgically removed at the same time as your ugly one........ ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) :-D :-D.

Had mine off 2 years ago. Strange only painting 9 nails but it has now grown back, took over a year though.

You could always get a union Jack Glue on Toe Nail they are so in style at the minute LOL :-D

Dear Sue - have just clocked this - never have I been so underwhelmed and would like to thank my parents and grandparents - all RIP - for giving me this moment - and to the team of top surgeons who wil be working in unison on my toe, I can only say how fortunate I am to have such a dedicated team at my feet so to speak

I am just having the initial appt tomorrow morning when I probably will be given the actual date of this complex and - yes dangerous and heartstopping - procedure. Should I be fortunate enough to pull through I shall return, weak no doubt, in pain no doubt, but with just the strength to thank my followers

I have to lie down now - pass me a peeled grape please and just dampen my lips
