I heard an interesting theory about G M's disappearance

there had been a bombing raid that failed due to not being able to see the target.....so the bombers dropped their bombs into the sea.........

possibly into the area and time that Glen would have been flying.....

Not a favourite era ( though I have a fondness for the 70s lol) nor a genre...very eclectic taste in music, but thanks to Ann mentioning Shostakovitch I went to listen to a favourite

There are some fantastic tribute bands and yes, he died too young - I think he was only about 40 when he went missing

Think he did influence many swing bands and his music is still being played today. He died far too young.

I can get very emotional listening to Moonlight Serenade,Mam must have played the record many times when Dad was away in the army WW2

Loved the film The Glenn Miller Story

My neighbours must get confused with my choice of music - anything from Glenn Miller, Edith Piaf, Abba, Buddy Holly, Black Lace, Tom Jones

Seldom play classical music

I love Gershwin/Porter and Glen Miller was an absolute genius - shame he disappeared because he could have been such an influence

Errol i've always loved Glen Miller and his orchestra, his music was played a lot in our house when i was growing up. Many years ago I was given a 1930s original radio recording and it still sounds as good today :-)

Couldn't say what my favourite era is because I love many different genres, but lately I've been listening to George Gershwin/Cole Porter music. :-D

um I hope you don't mean Glen Miller Ann because if so he was a ghost - or do you mean you like anything from the 50s and 60s - a great era for music
