Allan??? I could go off you. My dad was born 1918 and joined Building Society in Wolverhampton in 1935. When war broke out he joined Signals and was posted to Colwyn Bay where he met mum and they got married in 1943.

After war, dad worked for my grandfather who was Colwyn Bay Pier Manager, I believe. Dad's job had been kept open in Wton and they decided it was best for him to return there when grandpa was taken ill and soon died. No prospects in Colwyn Bay, and a job and a future in Wton. Building Society clerk was a very good job then. So hence the move. And I liked Wolverhampton. And mum and nain settled really well there and also liked it very much.

But we all hankered for Wales, all holidays were there, and my love was always there. And my greatest achievement was marrying a very beautiful Welsh girl 34 years ago (from Holywell) who has always been my rock and given us two beautiful children :-D

No contradiction ;-)

I know why you RRd Sylvia's post John but please realise that we are all researchers and if someone grabs our attention we are going to have a trawl around the www.

You know what info is out there for all to see. Please accord us some intelligence.

If it walks like a duck etc.,

I have said this so many times, you are obviously an intelligent man but you do not use that gift in any way that could be regarded as helpful.

Perhaps you like to cause disquiet, I don't know the answer to that. We have all rubbed along very nicely for 2/3 years now since the last GR meltdown and bang! we are travelling backwards in time to when the boards were damned awful to participate in.

Allan Report 3 Jan 2013 01:08

I have resisted the urge to post for as long as I can.

From a post of John's on the previous page

"I lived in Wolverhampton from one to 14. My dad was a soldier in WW2 from Wton"

And then posted at 3 Jan 2013 00:27

"My father could not get a good job in Colwyn Bay and had a reserved occupation as a Building Society Clerk in Wolverhampton Freeholders in Queen Square, Wolverhampton."

What a contradiction

I have rr'd Sylvia's post because it was very abusive imo. She suggested I have an imaginary OH. Well, I don't of course. But if I did, it would be none of her business whatsoever.

John Say's Sometimes I get quite frightened by the amount of venom my thoughts and views engender. I have tried to explain why I think it just possible that Dr Robyn Lewis was not the most guilty party in the till incident in Spar Pwllheli.

I say. John that one has got far too old now. If a person does not agree with you, you say that person is spouting venom. Do you think we are all slithering snakes?

John say's I have never hidden or distorted any facts about myself - except one or two things that I really do want to keep private. I have always tried to say things as I would say them in real life.

I say. That is a laugh, you change your mind more times then Welsh rugby player get the ball. :-D

John says I cannot see that I have written anything on this thread that is upsetting in any way. I have been polite and I have tried to ignore the jibes. Now the "you were the only one to ever cause trouble on the Welsh thread" rears its head again. And "banale". If I had murdered someone, the sentence would have been spent before you forgive me my transgressions when I started chatting back in August..

I say. Nearly everything you post upsets somebody on here & you know it, that is why you do it.

John says. Anyway, I shall go to bed now and wake in the morning an Englishman. I shall start supporting England at rugby, I shall pretend I know no Welsh poetry, that I can sing no Welsh songs. Perhaps I had better move across the bridge.

I say. Like I just said you change your mind again & again. Please Dont you come over here it's not good for you.

Thanks Susan with. I hate going over the bridge anyway. I love every part of Wales (even Connah's Quay and Port Talbot) and my heart sings all the time I have lived in Rhos-on-Sea, Bangor, Llanddulas, Moelfre, and now Pontypandy :-D :-D

Nowhere like it. I feel a very lucky boy. Even the rain today was soft and cool and helps the complexion ;-)

Tecwyn - simply, diolch.

BK spreading 'lies' ?!!!! John, I want a pair of the glasses you have - the rose-tinted ones with blinkers. Where DID you get them from? Dr Lewis, perhaps ???

Wales as an Independent country ? That's a topic for a new thread, not this one (Sue ????). But your love for Peter Pan is wearing a bit thin in all matters Welsh. You cannot compare yourself to us, you cannot think like us. Being Welsh is not just a physical or political attribute, it's a mental one.

And if your not Welsh, you simply don't have it.(with apologies to the 'nearly integrated' population out there ! Mwaahhh!).
