Ah, yes, Island, I hadn't thought about birds, especially the Magpies who seem to have been very busy mutiplying this year, there are loads of them about.

The candles are always so neatly placed though, never strewn about the ground or untidily on the table.

Magpies do like shiny things though and the night lights are in a foil container. Maybe just too heavy to carry off, they are never damaged though.

At the end of the garden we have a patio, on it a wooden table and four chairs.

The table has a hole in the middle and there is sun brolly in it.

Around the brolly, on the table, is an iron candle holder with six glass votives containing night lights.

Every morning when I go to have my coffee at the table at least two of the night lights are out of the votives and are sitting n the table.

Quite neatly, right way up, never upside down, just outside their votive, never on the ground or outer part of the table.

Now, if I had the kids at home, especially the boys, I would blame them as this is what I would expect, always fiddlling with things and not putting things back where they came from.

But there is just me and him here now and he doesn't like to go out in the garden after dark.

So, who is playing with my candles ??? :-S M
