the good news that the bowel has not ruptured they are still not sure what they are going to do. the don't seem to be able to see the results of the endoscopy that she had done on Monday for some reason. she has not been able the pass any motions since tuseday so is full up to the gunnels.the have not given her any thing except pain relief.

Sorry to hear this Michael and hope they soon sort her out.

Im sure more women than men suffer with diverticular disease..and diverticulitis.

I have diverticular disease and it has caused me problems this year,also 2 friends,so we have to be careful with diet.

Whatever we say about hospitals these days,the treatment we get is so advanced from a few years ago,and she is in the right place.

Michael, my thoughts and prayers are for your wife and you, I hope that now they have identified the problem that your wife will be on the fast road to a full recovery and will soon be back home with you, take care and my best wishes to you both.

I am researching the Wotherspoon family from the Old/New Monkland areas of Scotland, some moved to the Leslie and Kelty areas of Fife and I'm having problems linking the Wotherspoon's from Leslie and the Wotherspoon's from Kelty. I am also researching the Clusker family from Co. Meath in Ireland who moved to West Lothian and from there to Fife............"Vita non est vivere sed valere vita est"

Michael, as a sufferer of this myself, I have every sympathy with your wife - very few, apart from the sufferers and their nearest & dearest have any idea this disease exists! (not the most glamorous, but very painful at times)
At least they now seem to know what's probably causing the problem.
Hope they sort it out soon.

Although you must be terribly worried, she's in the best place possible and any pain will be dealt with.

just got in from the hospital they are waiting for the results of the scan and tests before the decide what ,s going to happen we know that part of her bowel has diverticulitis and has norrowed the section of her bowel which will mayhave to be taken out as it stops her passing poo. just waiting for a phone call to find out what and when it,s going to happen. thatnk you all for your kind relply,s. will update as and when I have news.
