Evening all.

Sorry - bet you all thought I'd done a runner!! Truth is that with three kids, nine grand kids and the normal celebrations, weekends are always pretty bonkers round here, although three day birthday 'dos' are not that common. Then I awoke yesterday to discover that we seemed to have had a tornado through our garden so was relaying/replacing fences until after dark last night when I fell into bed,.knackered. And then today a phone call "Granddad I have to visit an art galley as part of my half term homework" so went traipsing around with him and then wrote it all up with him and downloading the pictures etc etc.

Frankly i'll be dead chuffed when the Halloween Party is completed, half term is over and I can have a rest!!!!

Anyway for wot it's worth - I'se back!!

Neil

I'm more sinner than Saint GiN but frankly I would do almost anything fir the grand kids, I see it as paying my elders back fir all the VERY many things they dud fir me when I was growing up. The education system is,by and large, hurting the current generation of youth IMHO slightly I feel duty bound to give them the best start I can, we couldn't afford to send them to decent schools but I can inject some support

N :-D

Neil Report 29 Oct 2013 20:52

Yeah I am not generally considered THAT macho,.and only hit the pub for the singing, but I did do my bit in the Falklands and Northern Ireland, not to mention the Lebanon so I reckon a real man can be a family man too . There are too many blokes who think their fathering function ends in the bedroom!
