Dermot

Dermot Report 1 Dec 2013 17:18

1. Personal philosophy - a bird in the hand is finger licking good. (Someone else wrote this but I agree entirely.)

2. To be perfectly honest, I usually believe a dishonest man when he tells me he is lying.

3. I look forward to regularly reading ‘The Philadelphia Trumpet’ monthly magazine. (It wouldn’t surprise me if some of the articles were ghost-written by John.)

4. I started a thread on GR Quizzes & Games section in February 2009 which will shortly reach its 28,000 posting.

5. As far as I can tell, just one other Poster from the beginning continues to contribute to this very day. Politicians would love such solidarity.

JustJohn Report 4 Dec 2013 18:52

You're like Gypsy Rose Lee, Dermot. Only a couple of feathers to go.

I am also a xenophobia counsellor - in the Rhondda. There are two Rhondda Valleys and the people of Ferndale have an irrational fear of those who live in Treorchy in next valley. Mind, not so irrational when you see the fights that erupt at the border post up in Penrhys :-( :-(

I have never been blessed by Dermot at Knock but I have been on pilgrimage to Medugorje.

I once possessed a yellow and white brolly used when Holy Communion was distributed at a Mass said by Pope John Paul II. I believe it came to a sad end in the garden shed.

I eat one sprout annually. At Christmas.

Last year I grew 128 Harrier butternut squashes

When young I could run all the way down the beach across the flint stones without flinching.
