I accidently flushed a candle down the loo.
Will there be light at the end of the tunnel?
The light blew in my bathroom on Monday. It's a ceiling fitting, with fiddly screws etc, and it's dark when I get home from work, so I though I'd leave it until the weekend.
Anyhoo, I went in there, (usually I leave the door open - it's just me in the house), but Mister the cat with the non-retractable claws wanted to come in - he's feeling affectionate at the moment and keeps clawing me - so I got a candle holder, put candle in, removed cat and shut the door.
Did me business, picked candle up, turned round and, just as I flushed, it fell out and into the loo. :-(
I though it would get wedged or float - it didn't :-S

For a £1 or thereabouts you can get a round LCD lamp powered by a battery which sticks on the wall. Just push it to switch it on, again for off. For £3-5 you can get the same thing in Dyas, J.S., HomeBase etc.

Very handy to have in place in case of powercuts too - the batteries last for ages and none of the downside of candles.

I tried to find it - but it's gone round the bend!!!!

Rollo, as a camper I have a few of those - but have no idea where they are at the moment. Also, I was bursting - so no time to think camping lights!! Whilst I wasn't being harassed by Mister Claws and had the door open - no problem.
