If you put either the full number or just the area code into Google it will tell you where the number is from. |

Sounds like one of the rogue PPI Claims crowd or one of the rogue Motor Accident crowd - they are so annoying, there are sites where you can report nuisance calls, that said, that does not seem to stop them calling :-| |

I had four calls earlier this week from India (well, it sounded from there). Something about insurance for Sky. |

Do as I do - keep a whistle by the phone and any nuisance callers just give them a good blast on the whistle ;-) |

I believe some of these calls are automated and register what time of day you answer the phone to save paying a human to make 'wasted calls'. Once they know when you are most likely to be in a person will try their luck at selling you something you don't want or need. |

I have caller ID on my phone and if I do not know the number I ignore it. If it is anything vital people leave me a message on the answerphone which is on all the time. I then call them back. SIMPLES :-D :-D :-D :-D |

Try putting the number on this site. It's free and quite good and finding who called you |
