.........I know this is me and it´s a xmas thread but with less than a week to go I may aswell join in. lol

What memories do you have of xmas as a child ?

I remember going next door and to be able to pick a choccy decoration off their tree, now I wasn´t a choccy loving child but I loved going next door into their calm, serene bungalow and being given the choice, and allowed to remove it, from their tree. We were given hot chocolate (which I dislike) and was given a mince pie (I refused to eat my chocolate) . I would drink the chocolate because I loved sitting in their living room.

:-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

we used to have a sock each and one nice prezzie.

I remember one year I had a beautiful big doll with movable legs. My brother got hold of her, it was still xmas day, and sat her down hard on the arm of the sofa. Each leg shot off in different directions. Oh I did cry :-( :-( :-( :-D :-D :-D

Remember when you switched the lights on and had to wait until they warmed up before they started flashing. Magic for a child..

Beside the main present we always had small presents on the tree at tea time (still do). I remember the year my dad bought my mum a hot water bottle on the tree. She was not amused. :-D
