I wondered if you could help with a genealogy question.

I am interested in finding out more information on John Rowley, an ancestor that brought the Rowley's over from County Mayo, Ireland to East Yorkshire.
Some of the details are below, ideally I would like to find a link that gets me back to County Mayo Ireland.....a town or a parish.

John Rowley born 1811 County Mayo, died aged 40 on the 21/02/1851 in the Scarborough workhouse. He married Catherine Freney and had 4 sons, Owen, Thomas, William and John.

On the 1851 census it confirms that John Rowley (the son) was born in Grindale, the father had just passed away at this point and is therefore missing from the census the mother and the remaining 4 sons are residing in the Scarborough Workhouse. (The census confirms the mother and the 3 other sons were born in County Mayo).

Many thanks in advance, I look forward to hearing from you.
