Do you remember my friend who decided that the garden shed that was stolen was taken by the homeless?

That there were Polish people living in the electricity sub-station next to the church hall because he saw the light had been left on in there?

He is a bit of a handy- man who lives for doing repairs and bits of decorating for people ( he is probably expecting to be asked to do out the sub-station for the Polish or erect the stolen shed in the garden of a homeless person somewhere.)

Twice I have mentioned to him that I would like him to repair the floor of my dresser ( I don't pay him, I feed him).

Each time his reply has been "You will have to unload it."

This, of course, has come as a total surprise to me as I assumed that he would be able to up- end it complete with jars of jam, bowl of fruit, cups, tea-pots and things in the cupboard.

You live and learn!
