'Today is the tomorrow I was looking forward to yesterday'.

Friday night is my delight,
And so is Saturday morning.

But Sunday noon comes all too soon,
And so does Monday morning.

I have been muddled up too, since before Christmas in fact because o.h. worked different shifts for several days over the Christmas period and it threw me completely.

He is just back to normal but because of having a week off before Christmas to use up holiday and then the different shifts for overtime, I have lost all the times he worked late shift so have had to cook for him every evening except last evening. At last I was able to have salmon again, my favourite which I can't have when he is here as he hates the taste and smell! Now it's a further week of me cooking, well more than a week as he won't be on late shift again until Monday 13th!

I can see a visit to the chippie coming up very soon, at least it will be one night I don't have to bother lighting the oven!

I'm totally discombobulated!

GiN ..........

every time there is a stat holiday, our garbage collection moves forward one day for each day off. That has been the case for at least 30 years.

That should mean that Christmas Day + Boxing Day + New Year's Day should have equalled a move forward of 3 days

That means that our pickup which was on Wednesdays before Christmas should have moved forward to Monday or Tuesday

NOPE

to make it worse for me this year, pickups only moved one day ............. so we had a pickup this morning. :-S

He has had his catheter done. Now he is off into town to get his present from Argos.

I just hope they are open today!

yeah know what you mean.........we were to have a "christmas" event on Monday 30th
however plan was changed to a different event, different venue,

so Monday was "Sunday"

Our usual gathering day,

still trying to get into sync

Anybody else got their days mixed up this week?

The nurse rang up to say she wanted to change Fred's catheter on Thursday. Not being one to deny her her bit of pleasure, I said I would have the carers leave him in bed for when she came and duly organized this with the care company.

Fred is left to pretty much run his own affairs so I told him what was happening, knowing he would make sure it was all done according to plan.

Imagine my surprise when I heard him poking about downstairs in his wheelchair this morning.

Apparently the nurse is not coming today, she is coming on Thursday!

That's alright then.
