As far as he is concerned he looks after himself and doesn't need my interference.

Bloody cheek! Treating him like an elderly stroke victim!

Sharron Report 5 Jan 2014 11:37

The other night, the carers who put Fred to bed, forgot to open the tap on his night bag and he forgot to insist one of us check before we came upstairs.

The following morning the carers came in to find him lying in a very wet bed, into which a whole bladder of urine, at least, had seeped during the night.

As far as Fred is concerned, worse things happen at sea.

They stripped the bed, cleaned the mattress and put the smaller bedclothes in the washing machine. Then, much to his disgust, they were going to call me and tell me it all needed washing (HIS JOB). Not withstanding his loud protestations, they had the audacity to write me a note because they didn't think he would be able to get the duvet in the machine on his own (and he couldn't!).

Well, if he could only talk any sense and knew the number, he would have been on that phone before you could say "cabbage bicycle".
