There have been many tributes to this very respected man but this one I feel stands out:
Former Manchester United goalkeeper Alex Stepney paid tribute to Eusebio.
Stepney was involved in one of the most notable moments of Eusebio's career when he made a save from the striker towards the end of the 1968 European Cup final between Manchester United and Benfica.
Impressed by Stepney's reactions, Eusebio stood and applauded the United keeper in an extraordinary show of sportsmanship at Wembley, which still resonates to this day.
"It wasn't like I got a clear view of what he did at the time," recalled Stepney.
"There was not long left in the game and I was fully focused on it.
"I made the save and out of the corner of my eye I saw him still standing in front of me. It was only afterwards that I saw what he had done.
"The fact he was standing there clapping before running away is a mark of the man.

A truly outstanding and talented footballer, a great ambassador for the game and for sportsmanship across the world.
Rest in peace, Mr Eusebio and thank you so much for the memories we will always have of your football career.
Take gentle care all Sincere wishes Elizabeth, EOS xx
