A FRIEND DIED THIS MORNING,SHE HAD BEEN IN ICU ON LIFE SUPPORT
BUT AFTER TESTS CONFIRMED SHE COULD NOT SURVIVE OFF OF THE
MACHINE HER FAMILY DECIDED TODAY TO GIVE HER PEACE AND BE FREE OF PAIN,IT MUST BE THE HARDEST DECISION FOR ANYONE TO MAKE ,,,,

ON TV AND IN FILMS THEY SWITCH OFF
THE MACHINE AND THE LOVED ONE DIES
BUT IN REAL LIFE IT TOOK TWO HOURS
MUST HAVE BEEN AWFUL ANOTHER FRIEND WAS
GOING BUT AT THE LAST NIGHT CHOSE TO SAY
GOODBYE THEN ,IM GLAD IN A WAY BECAUSE I
DON'T THINK SHE N COULD OF COPED IN THE LONG
RUN,SHE IS IN A TERRIBLE STATE AS IT IS, <3

Sorry to hear about your friend and a difficult decision to make. For your friend it would have been the kindest choice to make and that is what matters. The Kindest for the person.

Gwen, so sad that your friend Diane's family had to make such a choice but they did one of the last things they could do to help her find peace and ease her suffering by deciding to allow the machine to be turned off. I hope I never have to make such a decision, it would be selfish to want a loved one to linger on when they have no quality of life but it's so hard to say goodbye to someone you never want to lose.

May Diane rest in peace now and may her family find comfort that they could say their goodbyes and let her die with some dignity, not alone but with her loved ones near.

Try not to get too upset Gwen, you know one day you will see her again, but it was her time and the machine was just prolonging things.

sorry to hear about your friend dizzi but I suppose its for the best.

my friend is also on life support after suffering a stroke on thur aged just 50 :-(
