I periodically get emails about threads I have supposed to have clicked Watch this

I dont use that facility and most times its a thread I have looked at but not contributed too ,very ODD

The email alert for Watched Threads was not working for a long time, there lots of complaints about that fact. I was not aware that the link had been repaired.

I don't use it ............ I use My Threads, checking it regularly whenever I am on site, and find that quite sufficient for keeping me up to date with whether threads I'm interested in have had new postings in the last 2 or 3 hours.

Since the last post I have set the Sassy Sunday thread to be watched and, although there have been four new posts since then, I have not received any emails.

I got a watched threads alert yesterday so it was working then.

I was surprised as I don't usually use that facility. I must have accidentally clicked on the Watch This button as it was ticked in the list.

Jax I didn't ask who used watched threads but was anyone not getting alerts. If I didn't have the greaders and writing group on my watched threads I wouldn't know when people had added. I don't spend all day on here but am usually near the pc doing other things so hear the alerts hit my e mails.

So do you not look at your 'My threads' Ann?

AnnCardiff

AnnCardiff Report 12 Jan 2014 17:13

my "watched thread" is on FA - I have the parish records for Whitchurch, Cardiff - I don't look at it on a regular basis so if someone were to make a request on it I wouldn't know unless I had it "watched"

I've received no alerts on it

Cannot see the point in watching a thread when I use the site daily.....just means more emails to delete

Anyone else not getting alerts today from their watched threads?
