We have a gas fire which has real flames and the coals look like real coals very effective but without the mess ;-) :-D

Have you got a colour scheme in mind? :-D :-D

No gas in our part of the Woollybacks, Belle :-D :-D - OH fancied a woodburner, but we don't need the extra heat and I don't like mess :-( so it's an electric, and mainly for effect :-D :-D ;-)

Is your fire an open fire or are you going for one of the gas fires that look like the real thing? :-D :-D :-D

Expensive, Belle! Ordered the new fire place and looked at furniture and wallpaper samples. We,(that's the Royal we!) are going to be pretty busy! OH is looking for his hammer and chisel to dismantle the old fireplace as we speak! :-D :-D ;-) ;-)

Good news GP.
If it's of any consolation, I have a rellie woi has had both hips replaced.
She even wore one of the replacements out, and had it replaced for a 2nd time !
She will be 96yrs old next month and still walking strong. Xxx
