so its when ever they have enough people
to add the info

The GRO decided unilaterally that there was no legal requirement for it to provide bulk data to the FH sites and so stopped doing so from 2006. It has not provided any replacement facility itself and people needing to see the index have to go rely on half a dozen UK GRO sites e.g only London and Plymouth for half the country plus of course the local LRO.

In 2010 Labour was in the middle of rolling out an ID program which was also integrated with a much improved FH service. Although the coalition has ( literally ) broken up this program most of the abstracted data remains archived. If there were to be a change of government in 2015 then there is a possibility that elements of this scheme will be resurrected as well as the census.

marriages after 2006 are not online, and are unlikely to become so I believe.

Hi All,

Does anyone know how often the marriage records are updated?

I got married in 2011 for the second time and there is no record of my marriage on the records at all. Yet my first marriage in 2000 is on here (I wish I could delete that).
