Sadly there are so many young people desperate for work that they will be sucked into this and then struggle to make ends meet.

I always try to be pleasant and polite when they knock on my door as I feel sorry for them doing such a job.

You would be shocked at how little of your pound goes to some of the major charities. I was asked to donate to our Surf Lifesaving Organisation but I found that 64% goes into administration.

With those sort of costs, it does make you wonder how much of you Pound actually goes to help the end user. :-0

as things are set to change for the self employed on a low income ( working tax credits etc under the Universal credit scheme if it comes in) I thought I'd start looking now!

Interesting, that of the 20 odd pages of jobs I've scanned through ( so far , added in the last week) , other than a small percentage of 'proper jobs' ( full time) and quite a lot for drivers, probably the majority are for self employed, 'catalogue' type jobs ( Avon etc) or S/E translators...this however caught my eye:

"Charity Fundraiser - Accommodation Provided - OTE £1,500 per 4 weeks

No wonder the people are so very persistent when they knock on my door to sign me up for direct debit to a charity.
