How's Spot getting on? Hope he is still behaving well with his new owners and they are all happy with their decision.

I watched a programme recently where people were being found new houses, I think it was Place in the sun, and the people wanted somewhere suitable for their dog too. One apartment didn't have an outside space but was across from a little lane to the harbour, Oh good said the woman, that will do for the dog to go out and have a wander as long as there aren't other dogs to chase him. It was obvious from the way she spoke that she meant to just let the dog out to do it's own thing, as they do in Malta.

I used to see two or three dogs, the same ones every day, come down past our apartment near a busy road in Bugibba when we were there, and then later on in the day you would see them together or separately, making their way back up the hill as if to go home. It was almost like they were commuters lol but they could so easily have caused road accidents the way the traffic hurtled down the road.

I was really aggravated by a report in the paper yesterday of a woman who said her dogs may have been snatched. She then went on to say they were running free on a walk and neither had collars on or were chipped. Hpw stupid. I lost sympathy then I'm afraid.

Rollo, I think we should all have to have our cats and dogs micro chipped in the UK too.

It works really well to identify strays and would be a bonus if there was dispute over ownership which can sometimes happen.

Good for you and Spot. What is he like ?
In France we have to get our animals chipped ( used to be a tattoo ). Is it the same in Spain?

:-)

I hope this will work out well Uzzi, I can understand how thrilled you must be that Spot has a new home and the neighbours have a new companion to share their lives.

Been watching A Place in the Sun - Winter, and there have been several for areas near you.

Jasmine Harman who not long ago had her first baby, was hugely pregnant in Fuerterventura finding a place for people so they must have been fairly recent recordings.

Hope you and the mutts and T are all well

Kitty I took a chance on this but from what was said about the dog (and he is beautiful) and what I know of the family, neighbours for such a short time. It seemed a perfect match and fingers crossed neither dog or new family will disagree.

All our dogs have been rescue ones, only had the one that didn't work out but he went to another home that he fitted into beautifully.

.............smiley faces every where and no sadly I haven´t taken this dog in.

Spot was looking for a new home, he was found on the beach and the couple who picked him up couldn´t keep him as they fly between the UK and Spain plus they are cat people, (their words not mine) So they took Spot to the dogs home.
Sorry they said we are full, he is about 9mths etc etc. Spot was house trained and quiet, but sadly he would have had to be put down.
Their neighbour and my friend told me about this dog, and I said hold I will talk to neighbours of mine who want a dog. Well they sort of wanted a dog but wasn´t sure. So I introduced them.....love at 1st sight for all of them.
So Spot is now a happy dog, my neighbours are happy to have him.

He is a beautiful boy and I fear he is going to be a very spoilt one. What is also nice about this is L who wanted a dog has come to live and look after P his mother who was widowed 6mths ago and Spot loves P <3 <3 <3 <3
I always try to to good for animals and I am chuffed I found Spot a home. I am also chuffed that I have given 2 other people a reason to get up in the morning. <3 <3 :-D :-D :-D
