Saw this today:

Basically, (and the bit I was pleased to read), UEA research shows ingredients found in chocolate, tea and berries could guard against diabetes. What is really nice, is the berries can be in the form of WINE :-D :-D :-D

So, my usual 2 cups of tea when I get in then a dinner of salmon, baby spuds and mixed (frozen) veg, followed by Black & green chocolate and a couple of glasses of plonk was GOOD for me :-D
Especially the 'extra' afters :-D :-D :-D

Lol Huia, hi hope you are ok. Black and Green chocolate is a brand name, it's dark chocolate, the darker the better for you.

Maggie, sounds a good diet, keep it up lol I love Salmon, and the rest sounds nice too. I eat a lot of veg., often stirfried, loads of frozen broccoli so there's no waste and other fresh and frozen veg. Don't go much on the frozen mixed veg tho, all those tiddly cubes of carrot and I am not mad about frozen peas. I think I over dose on chocolate tho sometimes lol, but that makes up for the lack of wine. If we open a bottle, o.h. isn't good at rationing himself and would start on the slippery path to a bottle a night which would do his memory problems no good at all lol

Thanks for the explanation, Liz. I don't like dark chocolate, so you can keep it.
