We have had Open Office for years and find it very good. We downloaded it originally so that we could read things in HTML. |

I have Open Office 4.0.1 (the latest update). I don't have any very complicated uses for a word processor and I'm very happy with it. I have it because I bought a pre-used computer which had to have Word deleted with the previous owner's personal files - I didn't need Excel - and our computer adviser suggested l used Open Office for free. It did take a bit of getting used to - and as I am sure I'm not making the most of it I tried to buy "Open Office for Dummies" but Amazon quoted something like £75 so I didn't! |
