Funnily enough, there is a little bungalow just down from this this cottage which was known as a 'The Bungalow' when I was a child Fan and Perce lived there.

That is now a weekend retreat I believe and it id named 'Pooh Corner'.

Some of the areas around where I was brought up as a child, are now part of Lochore Meadows Country Park, those areas must have had goodness knows how many outside loos (holes dug in ground surrounded by corrugated sheets). nowadays the outdoor activities that people participate in, are of a more pleasant nature - picnicking, birdwatching, cycling, golf, fishing, horse riding, orienteering, and watersports :-D

There is a flood alert in place for about half of the village.

All the posh bits where the expensive houses stand are under alert. None of the council houses are.

There is one particular cottage which used to be three houses, and I don't like the woman who lives there.

I don't know if she is aware that there was a privy at the end of the house that dropped straight into a cesspit. She soon will be if it wasn't properly filled, and I doubt it was, and the ground becomes much more waterlogged.
