Do you know what the NZ flag looks like? Can you tell the difference between ours and the Aussie one? It is suggested NZ should change as it is too much like the Aussie one, but we had ours first, so shouldn't Oz change theirs? |

No, I wouldn't know the difference between the Australian and NZ flag. |

I like the idea of a kiwi on the NZ flag. I've never seen a kiwi fly before. |

NZ & Oz flags are very much alike, but Oz has the Federation Star in the left lower corner. |

Any change to the NZ or the Oz flag should be made by the indigenous people of those countries and not the incomers. |

1. I couldn't care less what sportspeople decide to use as a symbol. |

Just for the sake of accuracy England does not exist as a nation state. It's the United Kingdom that is a member state of the European Union. As regards the appearance of the Union Flag on the Australian and New Zealand flags the removal of the Union flag from the Canadian flag in 1965 is an interesting precedent. |

Unfortunately, Frederick, it will be impossible to pick a design that is acceptable to all. |

The Maple Leaf flag was adopted by Canada in 1965 ................. not without some kerfuffle at the time from those who did not want to lose the union flag. |

I heard the French were thinking of changing their flag to a plain white one ;-) :-D |

If the French hadn't held the perimeter at Dunkirk then the British would not have found it quite so easy to scuttle away home. |
