I haven't been poked for ages Paula :-D

I have been on FB since 2007. I use it to keep in touch with family not living locally, we have more contact this way than we would normally. I am in touch with ex colleagues and we carry on conversations over something and nothing. I have been contacted by friends I have not seen for decades and renewed friendships. I chat regularly with my sons ex girlfriend friends, and made some new Facebook "friends"
I don't get involved in any games or pokes or other nonsense, but I do enjoy some of the friendly, sometimes serious banter.

I have just had a personal message from a young ex colleague asking to explain the rules of rugby because she has just met a rugby player who is 6'3" and 19 stone, she asked if this was normal, I said he sounds great to me

I would hate to live in a world where everybody agreed with each other. ;-)

jax Report 12 Feb 2014 17:00

So did you put this up thinking everyone was going to agree with you Graham?

It hasn't worked :-D

I have about 60 FB friends a lot I don't have anything to do with but like to see what they post

I am also in private groups where you can chat away share photos without the world and his wife looking in

I also steal any photos that Daughters put up that I fancy and have them printed up

I joined Facebook just 3 years ago so as to see family holiday photos, otherwise would never had got to see them. They never had theirs pics printed, so now I can download any photos to my hearts content and print them off myself. :-D

I have also made DVDs for my granddaughter from her 2 six months travels, so lasting memories for her too. <3

Also agree that it is a great way to keep in touch with friends and family by Skype and pms. :-)

Can't get on Facebook at the moment, could it be because it is so popular with ADULTS trying to find out how family and friends are in light of recent weather events.
For me it is faster and cheaper than phoning.

I love Facebook. It's a wonderful way to stay in touch with family, friends and ex-pupils. I'm "friends" with a lot of former members from here, it's lovely to be able to stay in touch.

I love the photos of weddings and babies and holidays.

It was a good way for the family to keep up when our son was deployed overseas with the army. We also keep in touch with the family in the UK - see photos of the little ones and hear what's going on daily in their lives.

FB is fabulous to me, through it I have caught up school friends from the 60s, they ended up in USA I hadn't seen them since the 70s, went there last year and spent a month with one and she is coming here next year for a months holiday with me.
All of which would not have happened were it not for FB. :-D
