I have just rung the hospital to see how Fred is and have been asked to ring back in an hour because....................THE FIRE ALARM IS GOING OFF THERE!

they do set alarms off at all times of the day to test staff.

or someones smoking in the toilet :-D

Oh dear Sharron, so sorry to hear about Fred. I wonder who set that alarm off on such a busy night. Hope it is nothing serious and you soon find out how Fred is.
