I don't think britches have zips Prickolls. They would have buttons and sometimes what us in the trade refer to as 'fall fronts' which require more buttons than the old buzz fly opening.

Witches britches are probably held up with a length of old string - hence 'drawers'.

depends on the context, Prickles...........

there is an item called a breach plug used on rifles to show that there is not a round in the breach (chamber)


as I understand it,
a breach is a break..........whereas a breech is a backside....

and an itchy breech would be a pain!!
