Genes have just added the WDYTYA live requests to the lists of Boards.

But I've not yet seen anything asking us to help. So what is it for....?

The London show runs Thurs - Sat of this week. The idea is that the Team at the show posts a request on behalf of a customer/attendee to show them how 'good' the researching members are at helping. They are then given instructions on how to return to the thread when they get home.

The marketing idea is to persuade them to join GR or upgrade their membership so that they can reply.

A post from GR pointing out the new board will probably appear shortly.

I know that - you know that - but I bet there were those who wouldn't until they read your post.

But Genes shouldn't have added it to the Boards if they weren't ready to actually ask members to help out.

Bother! We've just done their job for them.... Again!

The WDYTYA Live requests has been listed on the GR Boards since LAST YEAR!


It's the Board they opened just before the start of the show last February.

If you open it, there is no post dated later than February 2013.



It has actually been listed on the Boards since last February ..................... I see it every time I come onto GR because my "Home Page" has been set to be the Genes reunited Message Boards.



so no-one has seen any request for help this year, 'cos that board isn't new :-)

I hate to disagree, Sylvia, but the WDYTYA thread has not been listed for the past year. It just appeared in the last day or two. I think it must have been there when you set your Home Page to the listing and so it stayed there on your computer.

It may have only just appeared on the smaller box to the left of the screen headed Boards.


However, it has been listed on what is the page that GR opens on for me ................

I see it now - it is on what I find as the Home Page - but it is on the bottom half of that page which isn't visible when clicking in unless I scroll down. On checking it this time I see I had some Hot Matches six weeks ago !
