'Going to see a man about a dog' was another one.

That dog never did turn up :-| :-|

I used to really look forward to seeing that man's dog, Island. I always wondered where it was afterwards, there was never any sign of it.


My Gran used to say her dogs were barking when her feet hurt.

When my Nana died when I was 11 I asked what did she die of I was told by mum she was just very tired and went to sleep. When I was 6 and our cat had kittens and I returned home from school 6 weeks later they had gone I knew of the kittens had gone to neighbours the other 4 had been taken by an unknown man to live on a farm!

When during a family occassion in a pub when I was 36yrs old and my mum reveleved she felt like a murderer when she had taken the kittens to the vets as she couldnt find homes for them and I said no mum a man took them to live on a farm the pub broke to huged amounts of laughter. You can imagine my distress when aged 37 I was at the hospital having my pre op med when asked but the nurse what my mat grandmother from and I repeated what I had been told and the look on the nurse's face. :-(

Maryanna, my great aunt used to say her bunnies were hurting. I never did catch sight of those rabbits! :-| :-|

Oh Hayley :-( :-( what fibberoonies :-0 I naively took kittens to the pdsa van - as instructed - believing they would be given to good homes :-| :-|
My gran died of 'old age' too. I was told not that long ago :-0 I think some people do if they are very old and bits just run out of stem.

She actually had sinus syndrome ( sp) my Nana did and I know coz my Mum has it and its a condition when the heart gets old it doesnt send the electic pluses all the time hence the pacemaker. :-D

My grandmother came home from the doctors where she had been talking to Fan Harding and "she's got rheumatartitis, it's in her hippitis."

OH goes to see a man about a dog alot more so if he isnt working on Sundays around noon to 3pm ish he never remembers to bring home the dog as he cant walk in a striaght line and is often sleepy :-D
