Mr M

Just realised you have her as your avatar

She is a lovely old girl . reminds me very much of the dog my foster parents had in WW2 when I was a london evacuee to Kent. he was called Teddy and was an old English sheepdog.
My family always had a dog but most times were mongrels . nothing wrong it that though .All of them were personalities and very much loved

What breed is she?

It's when you look at pics of the kids with her when we first got her that you realise how old she is.

Good age for a cat Shirley.

Our cat Mirabelle is 18 next month. still jumps up onto my lap in the morning for her morning stroke and cuddle.

Likes to sit on our bedroom window ledge to see what her world is doing .
Only goes out into the back garden if it doesn't smell cold ,and then only ventures to the back gate which is a fancy wrought iron one so she can sit and look out again .

She is getting a bit moth eaten around her hind quarters as objects now to be brushed or combed in that area . have to try and keep the fur lumps at bay by gentle means or even cutting them out if they form.

She is in good health ,the vet did suggest she now has a quarterly check up as well as the yearly one.

I do worry how long she will be with us . we have had her from aged 7 months and we love her to bits

Went to the vets with our dog Ella this evening. Was told by the vet that she is the oldest dog on their books.... :-D

She will be 17 on the 6th March.
Can't see or hear very well but still up for two walks a day.
