You may not be claiming appropriate benefits.

I would contact your CAB. They will know where there is help available that you may never have dreamed of.

No doubt your dad was conscripted. That should make her eligible for some sort of help.

The woman who is asking for additional help is not getting anything she shouldn't but she is probably getting help with knowing what to apply for.

For those few who I seemed to upset , sorry , but my mother of over 90 cannot even get a garden fence repaoired because they say it is not a boundary fence , but she is afraid because it was rotten and has blown down in the winds , because now her back door has no fence around .
I am a pensioner , but my daughters who work hard are saving to have one put up for her .
If I could win some on the lottery I would pay for it , to give her security at her age .
She has limited walking and other illnesses ,
SHE HAS NEVER BEEN A DRINKER OR GAMBLER
Certainly not a takeaway food addict .
Worked untill the age of 74 .
THIS IS WHAT MAKES ME ANGRY WHEN I READ THESE STORIES . :-(

I always wonder ......well I did when I read this thread, what did the reporter actually say to her to get her to take part in the interview how did they sell it to her... " we are going to make you out be an lazy over weight benefit scourger because for some strange reason stories like sell papers but on the whole you will get a bank balance that will read like a telephone number which you cant actually keep as you are on benefits" ? Or............ "we you report your plight and hopefully get you the op you need"....

The way nonogenerian war heroes are treated in Britain is a national disgrace. They gave us our liberty and made us what we are today.

Fat, lazy daughter of ninety- four year old war hero spends at least five pounds of his pension on chocolate most weeks. Is known to buy large bottles of whisky and publicly mocks his efforts to get buy on the tiny amount of money he has left.

He is forced to scavenge for food and to do his own domestic chores despite the loss of his right side.

You read it here first folks!

WHAT I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IS

HOW COME SHE GETS ALL THOSE BENEFITS
IN THE FIRST PLACE,WHEN THERE SO HARD TO GET,

MAYBE THEY SHOULD HAVE SENT HER ON A BASIC
COOKERY COURSE,

Funny how things like that remind me of jokes.
Jo Brand joke on being over weight
This hole ( pointing to her mouth ) is bigger than this one ( pointing to her bottom ) says it all me thinks. ;-)

But her kids prefer Chinese MacDonalds, the Kebab van and chocolate.

23 stone and she wholly blames the Benefits System for giving her too much money. She currently receives £346.69 a week for herself and 2 children !

You couldn't make it up !!

Reading in the SUN NEWSPAPER today , ( sat ) , the woman who claims so much money , spends it on junk food and sweets etc , now obese , WHAT A SURPRISE ! Did she think it was weight watchers food ?

Now wants a gastric band and personal trainer !

NO , JUST STOP GIVING HER SO MUCH MONEY , then she will have to cook etc like most of us !

DISGUSTING !
