Shirley~I,m getting the hang of it

Shirley~I,m getting the hang of it Report 4 Mar 2014 10:05

Tuesday

Well I had to take Mirabelle to the main surgery on Sunday morning for more fluids and jabs
The vet hand fed her too with some small amounts of food that was put into her mouth each time . She ate it and looked for more . Was given the pack to take home and over the course of the day she did eat it . I put small amounts in a saucer by the side of her bed so she had to pass it to get in and out . She would stop and have a small nibble Which was good ,

Monday though she didn't each much at all. Was back at the vets for more fluid and jabs , her temperature is on the upper end of normal but she is still jaundiced .

The vet said unless she gets some more improvement then it's not looking good
She can't stay at this level as too much antibiotics knock out the good bacteria too that is needed in the gut

Back tonight for more of the same.

Have discussed it with hubby and he said let's give it to the end of the week and then be guided by what the vet says ,

Sadly it isn't looking good at the moment :-( :-(

It's such a shame that Mirabelle doesn't seem to be rallying, Shirley, and I think your husband is right to think of a time limit for her. It's so very hard to let go but you have done all you can for her and she has had a wonderful life with you, after her difficult start in life.

Will be thinking about you and Mirabelle
