Can someone please put my mind at rest. Is BT Yahoo Mail closing and do I need to update my address etc. I keep getting mail advising me of the change but never sure how true this is or if it's a con.

I have yahoo and I have not had any emails from them about anything.

Thanks martynsue. Think I'll ignore it and see what happens. They say I will lose my email if I don't upgrade. If I do, then I do and will change to another group.

i have had yahoo for years and have never been asked to upgrade.

i would ignore it also.

I also have yahoo and I think that last year,when yahoo revamped their site following massive trouble with hackers and bugs,they "blocked" several sites they thought were causing the problems.

I belong to several rootsweb FH lists and rootsweb was one they banned and I had to get another e-mail address to continue receiving rootsweb posts.

This caused a lot of complaints from people who had BT/Yahoo accounts and at the end of the year BT took their Yahoo accounts to process in-house (which upset yahoo) :-D

Yesterday was trying to access BT by email (too deaf to phone) but on clicking their Email icon I was simply told I couldn't connect with BT Yahoo (am getting someone else to ring them for me but....)
