Hi there, does anyone have a Cannon 3 in 1 printer?
I previously had a mp 210 Canon pixma which arfter at least 6 years needed to be replaced. it was a brilliant printer and our photos came out exactly as there were on the screen, ie correct colour.

I bought another upgraded canon 3550 3 in 1 which uses a different no of ink cartridge although they look much the same as before. However, when my OH printed out a picture yesterday, the colour is about 2 shades darker than it should be.

In settings it's set for glossy paper and that's all you usually have to change when printing and of course the size.

Does anyone know how this can be rectified and if it can otherwise i feel the printer is no good. Don't understand even if it's a different printer why when you print out of your gallery or pictures, it should be a diferent shade as this never happened before.

Your suggestions would be much appreciated

I have a Canon 3-in-one Pixma MG2150. I find I get much better colour for photographs when I use the Canon's own Photo print programme, I had some very disappointing prints when initially I just clicked the print programme on the computer menu. I find it a very good printer.

Thanks Elizabeth for replying. we have always used the comp own printing programme with the old cannon and had no problems,. A brilliant printer, which is why i bought another one. Just dont understand what's changed.

Did you download the canon's own print programme or where do we find it?

Thankyou

I have an icon called "Canon Solution Menu X" but can't remember how I got it! I think it must have been via the OnScreen Manual" which I had to click around for and then sign up. This page has a link "printing from a computer" , which gives you the link to "Printing with the bundled application software Easy PhotoPrint EX".

I hope this works for you, I got mine at the same time as a new computer, which is perhaps why I'm a bit hazy. I got it as I hadn't previously had a scanner - like you I bought a Canon because my earlier Canon was so good!

Oh thanks Elizabeth but actually that's exactly what we have been using for the last 6 years. The solutions menu was installed right back when we got our first computer.

Im going to tel our local comp shop tomorrow as they sell these printers and infact sold us the original and see what they say. it may be something simple that we need to do. Here's hoping beacsuse as of now i have one grumpy old man and can't be done with that!!

Thanks again for your help

Are you sure it is installed still? I would think it disappeared with your old printer and that you would have to re-install with the new one.
