I was always a giggler, got me into lots of trouble at school.

But now when I get them I can leave the classroom without asking permission first

I was just watching 'Alright on the Night' and it reminded me of having to read things out in class.

We had to do it one warm day at school. Nobody was taking much notice in the English class and we had some poem about a war. I think it might have been the Spanish Civil War and somebody was running across somewhere.

She made me read it out which was not too hard until I came to the bit where they were shooting at him and "their balls whizzed wide.".

Oddly enough, I couldn't get it out and that poem went all round the class tothose she deemed more sensible.

Of course, once the giggling started, not one of us could read the poem and she had a bit of a job doing it herself.

Give the poor woman her due. She did manage to keep a straight face.
