Just for the record

It would be very difficult to tackle that issue if not impossible unfortunately.

My main criticism of Genes ia mostly in respect of problems with the Tree side of things.

As to the monitoring of the boards, even although I moan now and then, I think on the whole the team at Genes do a fairly good job in very difficult circumstances.

Having said that I do think the number of moans would be reduced, if they tackled the problem of, lets say the mischievous reporter, the one who seems to strike mainly at the weekends, knowing full well their actions will cause havoc - as there is definitely a regular pattern there and GR should look closely at that.

eRRolSheep - to steal your thread title "just for the record" I log on to my computer around 07:00am and log off around 16:30pm each day - early to bed early to rise.

Sometimes people are very quick to criticise or even attack but I actually think that the team at Genes do a pretty good job when it comes to
"policing" the boards.
During office hours, reported posts are usually dealt with in an acceptably prompt manner and I would far rather have the current system than one which involves constant monitoring (Big Brother?) - if by Genes staff this would undoubtedly lead to increased costs which would have to be passed on and if by "specially picked" members would certainly be open to abuse given the various spats that have occurred over the years. I think many of us would find it very difficult to be completely unbiased if we are honest.
So, I reckon the current system works - it may not be perfect but in this age of CCTV, whistle blowing, blame and claim etc etc I think it makes a refreshing change and if some people wish to act like children then so be it.

Publish and be damned!
