I used to love watching Eggheads, but this new one with C J Di Mooi - ghastly

Yes, he used to be on Eggheads previously a few years ago and that's how he struck me then Ann.

Eggheads is a must for me. Love them all, except perhaps Daphne. Something about her that I don't like much. But it is my No 1 viewing and I hate it when they pull programme for lesser programmes (for me anyway) like Sochi Winter sliding about and snooker and golf.

Was so pleased when they got CJ off. He was easily the weakest link. Not only was he so smug, he wasn't/isn't all that good. On some subjects he is an absolute duffer. Even I know more than him on quite a range.

Have watched two of Revenge. Hated them both. Will not watch any more :-P :-P

Please bring back Eggheads. And keep it there.

So, on Pointless, Kevin would score high. So would Judith (who I love) and Daphne (who I don't like much but is very popular). And Dave (real star) , and Barry with the snooker ball eyes. And Chris with the passing interest in trains who is a bouncer in his day job. And Pat with the lovely quiet Irish humour.

But CJ? Alexander Armstrong would have to say he is a pointless answer. :-D :-D

I have not watched it for a while but when I did I liked all the participants, each one being very knowledgeable without being big headed. I stopped watching because I thought CJ was arrogant, rude, ,egotistical, self-satisfied and sarcastic he looked down his nose at the contestants in a supercilious manner. He made me cringe sometimes.

Never liked him anyways!! CJ that is!!

I am with everyone else,can't stand CJ,he always looks like he has plonked his feet in something nasty,bring back eggheads to watch while we have dinner. :-( :-( :-(

I believe Daphne is retiring..or has retired.I quite like her...remember her from Going for Gold in the late 80s
Judith seems a bit stuck up to me and not as knowledgable as Daphne and Kevin who I think are the best ones.

Just been on a site. About 50 comments - all hostile to programme and CJ. So this thread is a reflection of the same thing.

He is a strange bloke. Born Bonfire Night 1969 in Barnsley (he says USA). I think his real name may be plain Joseph Conner, but he has hid his origins very well. He claims he had abusive, racist and homophobic parents and was bullied at school for homosexuality. He ran away from home at 17 and had to live rough in cardboard city for 3 years.

So, if any of that is true, I can understand a bit why he comes across as such an angry, arrogant and rude bore.

We are not alone anyway. Eggheads is a brilliant format, and an awful lot watch it every day when it is on. Only things I would change is to have 10 eggheads instead of current 7 and ask them how many times they want to appear each series.

So Daphne, for example - and perhaps Pat and Judith (who are both millionaires, after all) - can still appear but less often.

And I would also boost up the initial £1000. I would supplement it by £2,000 on rare occasions Eggheads get beaten. Then the least any team can win is £3,000 (£600 each).

No, I would not include CJ in the ten. BBC will be well rid of him after Revenge
