Sharron when I do OH a "fry up" for tea I will do fried bread rather than toast.

Ann I guess after the UK it was a wee bit warmer for breakfast on the terrace. I also forget that you get more morning sun up there than I do down here. :-D

We often have porridge because it is cheap and basic and we both love it. I make it with water, he makes it with milk.

Fred has Ready Brek every day and has done since he came home. It would have been only suitable for poofs before he had his stroke. He makes it himself which terrifies some of the carers but it is easier for them not to argue.

We rarely drink coffee so the big mug of tea is the important part.

Special treat we will go to the café that Fred frequents and meets people we don't know and we will have one of their big eggy, beany, mushroomy, sausage jobs.

Then we will have fried bread.

You wouldn't think of frying bread at home would you?

That's our idea of being out, coffee and fried bread.

Museli with fresh raspberries, blueberries, cherries, (in summer strawberries from allotment), and soya milk, also a cuppa tea with milk no sugar. If no time for this I have 2 slices of brown bread toast with butter and marmarlade and a cuppa tea.

First thing is coffer - black no sugar and strong. Then around 10.30 ish a bowl of cereal - sometimes at weekend when hubby is around might have a slice of toast and an orange.

Hope the sun keeps shining for Ann and OH

UzziAndHerDogs Report 6 Mar 2014 09:11

I hate burnt toast also

lol @Ann I am not sure that the sun was warm enough to sit outside and eat but at least I know the toaster works !

I have copious amounts of coffee in the morning. I don´t even wake the house up until at least my 2nd cup is finished.

coffee........ strong............ black with no sugar

:-D

Sometimes I have (OH thinks this is disgusting)... toast with cream cheese & a sliced kiwifruit.

The toast has to be "just right".......... very pale, I hate burned toast.

LadyScozz Report 6 Mar 2014 08:02

coffee.......... and another coffee.

I can't face food until I've been awake at least an hour.

Then.......... another coffee.

Maybe some muesli & fruit (or porridge in winter) or some toast.

I actually thought about having some breakfast this morning, and realised that we have a lot of breakfast things in the house. Cornflakes , Alpen and oats on the cereal side but we also have jam, honey (several different flavours) lemon and lime curd and golden syrup. As well as those we have eggs, bacon, sausages, black pudding, hash browns. Grapefruits, oranges and apples, tomatoes and olive oil.
Apart from the Alpen (OH´s get fit food ) none of them were bought as breakfast foods.

What did I have well I didn´t because I never get past the thought stage. :-D
