A chicken tale

The next door neighbours are lovely
But while we were in Wales on holiday a chicken appeared
and made its home in their garden--- yes a real one
I like it and feed it often
But the wife next doors not keen on it but her grown up kids like it
So when it escaped the other day she was very please
and we thought the fox had eaten it
Yesterday we heard it was running round the neighbo hood via facebook
Today we got a knock at the door saying it was in the green
so as Stray was dressed in fancy dress for work today
So picture it
there was Stray running round the neighbourhood with a big net
dressed as a Indian trying to catch the chicken
it was so funny to see
Well in the end a man who lives in the green caught it
and we popped it back over the fence into my neighbours garden
the wife was cussing us
and told me where I could shove the said chicken
she also said in the two weeks they had had it had it
the dam thing had never even laid an egg

WELL ;-) ;-) ;-)
This gave me an idea so
I filed the little lion stamp off an egg with a nail file
hard boiled it
and used a rake to carefully place it in her garden
while trying not to laugh which was impossible
if the neighbours mentions it to me
I will say the first egg a chicken lays is always hard boiled ;-) ;-)
