I think you are right, I tend to read a lot of threads but not post... So I am not helping things either :-(.

I look ...sometimes post then run!!!

There have been a few folk reacting to bullies as far as I can see.

I just don't see how grown people rise to the bait as they do.I try not to post on controversial threads,it only gets them upset.

Shame I tend to look in each day and see what stories are on there.I live alone now and have more time than I had before my OH died.and the boards are hardly moving.
Good job Sharron keeps going with her tales of Fred! :-).

it's not only Chat.

The other Boards have been declining for over a year!

There are very few requests for help, compared with 2 or 3 years ago.

and GR doesn't help by being very slow in responding to requests for help with site problems

So I was right. Has GR served its purpose? Yes am glad to be back and thank you.

Having never had a nose bleed I decided to have four in thirty hours! Two the paramedics could not control and I was fortunate in that my Matron responded to OH's call and took charge as by that time apparently I was all over the place!

However, I arrived via ambulance to A & E at 5.00 a.m. Arrived back home at 1.00 p.m. and at 5.20 p.m. same day arrived back in hospital A & E via ambulance again! Came home following afternoon having had two hours work on my nose and cautherised.

I was worried about the new and expensive duvet cover on our bed and got OH to get some bath sheets over it. Thank goodness I was only going home and not an emergency as three times I had to yell - 'go straight on' - driver was using the wonderful sat nav!

Must admit I slept most of the next 3/4 days and am still liable to have a snooze!!!!!

Sad to see Dizzi in hospital but best place.

My sis-in-l had a similar experience last year ............ but hers was caused by the chemo drugs she was taking at that time.

She did live only 2 blocks from the hospital .............. but they got fed up seeing her!

Yes indeedy, GR does seem to be slipping. Lots and lots of people have left, for various reasons.


There has been some nastiness on this Board, but that doesn't account for all the departures.

Personally I like political and religious threads, which can be contentious.

Others enjoy fun threads and enjoy reading a joke or too.

And hobbies have been moved elsewhere - to a board I never go to.

There has been a fun thread every day that attracts 250 plus posts - 400 at its height.

Political threads are so turgid now. Either long long posts that absolutely no one can read or very rude and aggressive posting. So I rarely bother any more. I would love to debate with someone who can write succinctly, has different views to me and can be forgiving of posters straying off topic etc.

And jokes seem to get rr'ed always and therefore few chuckles and much debating about rr'er (probably why rr'er does it)

Welcome back Chris, hope you will be ok now and no more nosebleeds.

There have been far fewer threads on the boards for a long time but this is the worst it's been.

Hopefully things will pick up again

Have to admit don't come on here now as it moves at a snails pace :-( In fact as things stand at the minute I'm unlikely to renew in April

They did find out it was a hole in my nose!!!!!! This caused the problem and apparently is not uncommon.

Then the apology came in advance of the question and I had to reply that 'no. I had never partaken of recreational drugs'!!!!!

The Dr and I both laughed about it.

There have been to many nasty threads or reactions to other posters.

Too much bullying and harassment in attempts to force other members to leave GR, or to stop posting.


Not at all nice to see ............. and must put off those not used to the Board.
