I spent all day there yesterday. It was very busy with humans as well as dogs, but the dogs were better behaved and did not bash you with rucksacks or ram you with shopping trollies or prams. It was a great day out for dog lovers. ;-)

Lucky you I would have traded a few knocks to be taken walkies by some of the larger gun dogs :-)

I love gundogs, had Irish setters and springers in the past. My niece has a German shorthaired pointer who I look after for her. There were a lot of the red and white setters there this year. Do you live in my neck of the woods, Wath?

My favourite was Stan the man......The nearest I got to Crufts was feeling the need to wash and blow dry my Spitz' :-D

We went a few years ago - the breeds we wanted to see were all in separate buildings and it was a real scrummage trying to get through the crowds. May go next year as Eurasiers are now off the import register and qualify :-D

Our boy was a bit big and like all red setters an ecleptic mix of brains and plain silly, exuberant and loving. He had a very soft mouth and was a great gun dog, celebrating a brace with a roll in the cow pats :-( Unfortunately one day the silly side ran across a highway and he was no more. Ten years of fun and games. We shall be in mourning forever.

Tell me can any of these miniature "gun dogs" actually go hunting ? I would look a right nellie arriving with one of them at a shoot in Normandie confirming what most French think about the English lol.

woof :-)
