My husband controls the remote, but I really don't mind........he hates football as much as me :-D

Used to watch,but don't like the way they have gone.

If I'm changing channels and see a bit they seem to be shouting ....and I know they try to cover real life situations,but don't think they give a good example to the younger generation.

Having said that....I thought it was men who had charge of the remote?...it was when my husband was alive and I got fed up with every sport imaginable.

That's when I went off to trace family history....still wish he was back sport or no sport!...

I love Corrie and Emmerdale, I don't watch any others. It's all the flipping football that drives me mad. We only have 4 channels to choose from here BBC 1 and 2, ITV1 and channel 4.

Matthew and Jane Elwood who had my great great grandfather Francis Edward Elwood baptised in 1807 at Horsham Sussex. There is no sign of Matthew or Jane from this date and my great great grandfather was brought up as Francis Edward Elwood MITCHELL

I agree 100% biggest load of rubbish, ever -- how anyone can sit thru one episode

is beyond me ... and then to carryon week after week .......

mind you I hardly ever switch my TV on .....

if I am told of a good programme, I watch it on Iplayer ...

I don't watch the TV soaps either but I do listen to the Archers via an earplug so I don't inflict it on my OH :-D

Hello Bill,

Yes, ladies rule the TV set!

Seriously, I hardly ever watch the soaps.

When they were transmitted a couple of times a week, I watched them.

But now, there are too many episodes per soap to keep up with the storylines.

Have you thought of hiding the TV remote?! :-)
