Lynda, I think I heard ages ago that this sort of weather - low pressure - often brings on the babies, so Tania could be very busy.

Still wet and windy this morning. A couple of my pot plants were overturned this morning and some branchlets off trees but nothing major as far as I can see (I haven't ventured any further than the verandah and the back porch). It is a good day for sorting out my kitchen cupboards, which I started yesterday. I am looking for unused jam jars to take to the Hospice shop tomorrow, since it is jam making time.

My friend is visiting family in NZ at the moment and I am a bit concerned. She didn't FaceTime me at the promised time, hasn't responded to a text on her phone or an email message. I hope she has just lost a few connections.

A few hours ago the sun was trying to break through the clouds, and just now I have seen a tiny patch of blue in the sky.

I am inland, in the Hunua hills and the rain has now virtually stopped and the wind isn't blowing much. Perhaps it is the eye of the storm.

I sent an email to my cousin in NZ last night, asking if everyone was OK.

She replied this morning...........

Yes, she's affected, because she can't play golf today!! :-D

and everybody else is fine :-)

It is raining here, with medium strength winds. I am not intending to go out today. Or tomorrow, unless it clears up and then I might venture over the harbour to visit my sister. But I doubt if it will have cleared up enough by then.
