Liz I must admit we take a much steadier pace now, this was just a one off to celebrate OHs forthcoming retirement. We are going to spend the coming weekend with my sister In Ashbourne, however I think we will be more temperate.:-S

Lol Paula, I can't cope with more than a glass or two of cider, these days, my face and neck turn turkey red and itch, and I look such a lush! If I start on wine I am just as bad so have to be very sensible these days. Heaven knows what I would get up to or end up like if I got started on the Black Russians I used to drink by the bucket full in my youth lol

Liz it was the latter, it always seems such a good idea at the time but I was very tired and struggled through yesterday.


Perhaps I am getting past it. Not that I will ever admit to that. :-S

How nice that the couple turned out to be such lovely guests and have invited you back to theirs as well. Now, were you feeling fragile because you overindulged to help you through the dreaded stopover, or were you still celebrating when you got home after fnding them so pleasant?

Either way, I am glad it all went well and you enjoyed the special occasion, and hope the lunch helped you recover.

Our visitors turned out to be the perfect overnight guests. We had a fantastic night with lots of good friends, very very very late night but lots of fun and laughter. This morning OH made breakfast and we sat in the garden. Before they left they invited us to their house for dinner and stay over. Chatting last night to a couple of other ladies several were having over night guests. Perhaps sometimes we can be just a bit to quick to judge before we meet someone.

Feeling a little bit fragile at the moment so off to the golf club later for lunch.

I have never met Paula, but ...........seeing of her what I have on here she comes across as very decent and polite soooooooooo regardless of what she thinks, I bet she has welcomed them in to her home and sent them on their way with their bellies full :-D

Wonder if they are up and it's daggers at breakfast! :-D
