We went to the quiz at the club last night.

There was a young family there with two little children. The wife was talking to somebody and I was talking to the husband who was a little drunk. The children were running about playing.

When the quiz began the husband was sitting between me and the quizmaster who I could not hear very well and he wouldn't stop chattering.

I told him if he didn't shut up I would give him a thick ear and shushed him a few times. He was fine, we had been having a laugh before the quiz.

His wife, however. drew upon her, great store of self- importance to tell me that this was a family club and I should not expect him to be quiet.

But her family were behaving impeccably. It was her husband who was the irritant .

I suppose that all her family are fine to run in front of the dart board when people are playing as well! It is a family club after all!

I am surprised that the quizmaster did not ask for people to be quiet just while the quiz was on as a courtesy to the participants.

Researching:
We are all of us in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars, Oscar Wilde New avatar, my dad age about 3/4 months, could have been worse, it could have been the awful nude on a rug!!

I think he thought I already had it under control!

There was only the one person talking and he has not been at the quiz before.
