Yes it was Island, and I know four of them.

Wend, the more I see Juno written down the more I like it and as I said before, at least it isn't a made up name or initials or a place name or some peculiar spelling or a perfume or clothing brand.

M. :-)

I like cant think of any other child I know with that name I like it, I like Eva too but bet she isn't the only one with that name when she starts school.

Guinevere Report 29 Apr 2014 05:54

I quite like Juno. At least it's classical and not an awful made up name which seems to be becoming a trend.

Or, even worse, a classic name misspelt. Samual instead of Samuel, Esta for Esther.

Or named after brands - Chanel, Prada.

Or places - Brooklyn.

or any name that appears in soaps or films.

It's hard enough growing up without being lumbered with a name that no one can spell or leads to teasing.

And don't get me started on American imports ...................

Well, hopefully this thread has worked some magic, as last evening my son told me he and his girlfriend are taking their relationship a step further! No not children yet but they are planning on getting engaged when they can find a ring that she likes and is affordable.

I said Oh lovely, does that mean babies follow, and son said I hope so but not sure about babies, might only be one but I have always wanted two children.

Just hope things work out as they plan and there are babies in the plural. Will keep revising my list of names lol

Her little boy will be 6 at the weekend so she has had a long enough break from pregnancy lol

Lizx ( living in hope and very excited)

Mr Magoo, you obviously didn't read my earlier post lol

Something that you have to consider with children's names is their initials.

So ..........J ........followed by ?

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 28 Apr 2014 18:50

I suppose it is up to them but we have a Judith and a Jeremy in our family and both are called Jay. Different branches and generations. So maybe she will end up being called Jay (j for juno) or Ju! :-)

in the births in our local paper one night there was a birth announced - the baby was named Deckland!! Presumably that's how they thought one spells Declan :-S

As the fifth daughter born to my parents most of the female 'family' names had been exhausted, i.e Mary Ann Ellen from my mum, and Elizabeth from an aunt. These were their given second names .......

Mine was from a wonderful neighbour who had seen my parents through some terrible times ...... as you can see from my board her name was Eva :-D

PricklyHolly

PricklyHolly Report 28 Apr 2014 13:53

Wend.......

Rush out and buy anything and everything you can find with "Eva" printed on it.

When they next come round..........present them with all the gifts.

Hopefully, when they see the excited look on your widdle face, they will stick with Eva!!

;-) :-D :-D
