In the 2011-12 tax year the government collected £26.8 billion in fuel duty. So it's not as if motorists haven't been paying into the system. |

When I read about some of these pet projects like Nick Clegg's one for electric cars, David Cameron's Big Society project, George Osborne & Patrick McLoughlin's High Speed Rail project, Michael Gove's Free School project - I have one message for them all, you want a pet project then pay for it your bloody self and stop wasting taxpayers money to benefit the few :-

OFTG, There is,nt any money, its all borrowed for our childrens children to pay back in taxes, and if these electric cars are so good why not lead by example and use them for GovernmenTransport instead of the expensive high powered ones they have provided. :-

Accident & Emergency Departments are being closed, there is a shortage of classroom places, care for the elderly is being cut, to name only a few results of government policies, yet today the Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg has announced a £500 million pound funding package to encourage people to buy an all-electric car |
